Batik Daisy

Being half Indonesian, I've always loved and appreciated the culture and heritage there. To bring a little part of Indonesia with me in Singapore, I chose to paint the traditional batik patterns, capturing the essence and the translucent batik effect on canvas. I combined it with another flower that I cherish, which is the daisy. Daisies are my birth flower and it is a symbol of purity and new beginnings.
